FALC Glasgow Jewellers

Post by martins » Fri Feb 26, 2016 11:30 pm

Have decided to buy my dear wife something nice for her 13th birthday. We will be in Glasgow next week. Can anyone recommend a good jeweller in the big smoke. Primarily I am looking at buying some form of baguette diamond of about a carat or slightly more in size in platinum or white gold.

Any secondhand watch shops might also be of interest!

I know for the same price I could get a new set of wheels or supercharger upgrade or 300hp upgrade........

Exige 240 (Gone but not forgotten and will be replaced)
Mini Cooper (wife spec)
BMW dog wagon

McIntyres is a good place on Mitchell Lane, would be worth a look but you might need to register with them in advance to get a membership set up. I did a fair bit of research into diamond ring buying last year and found them to have good quality stones and were very reasonably priced.

Might not work for you but for Mrs donkey's engagement ring we went to see Gareth at

http://ianmundieandsonjewellery.co.uk/

... For a custom made ring. Sounds expensive but worked out cheaper than buying off the shelf as Gareth is some kind of diamond grader. Also it's just a great experience where your good lady gets to pick every element of the ring.

Might not work for you but worth a call to Gareth id say.
