Well it's ugly, but if it's safer who cares. F1 cars haven't been pretty for years now anyway..

It sure isn't pretty.

I assume the drivers are expected to have one eye looking down either side of the front upright. Surely that will be annoying to them in the corners when they are not looking straight ahead, and often tilt their heads.

3D printed? IIRC it lacked the mod that Lawrence suggested which was holes at the back of it with stiff flaps on them. Something about air speed.
