Scottish Elises

Looking to do some work on the house, possibly extend as well and struggling to find someone to give some advice/ quotes. Booked appointments with two so far and neither of them bothered to turn up...

Scope of work is to enlarge the kitchen either by re arranging the existing space by moving a couple of internal walls ( if possible), extend out the side of the house to achieve the same or a combination of the two.

House is in East Kilbride.

Any suggestions/ recommendations much appreciated!

Malcolm ( max1966 on here ) did some some good work for me a few years back. I don't think he's a regular on here now so maybe best to PM him. He's possibly more commercial than domestic, but a good place to start for some pointers and advice.

Just had a word with the boss to see if East Kilbride is somewhere we'd travel to as as a company (Lochinvar).. I can do plans if that's all you want but the company I work for will do a full design and build package including, All permissions, Engineers report, Builders, Joiners, Plumbers, Sparkies and Decorators, full start to finish product, fully built and decorated, inc flooring, a walk in extension so to speak with a 10 year insurance backed guarantee..

My boss had no issue with the distance from Edinburgh as we regularly do work in the depths of Fife out to St Andrews, and all the way down the borders to Gala and Eyemouth.

DKB on Stonehouse Rd in Strathaven have done a couple of bathrooms and some other bits and pieces for us and I would/ will go back to them when we're ready to renew the kitchen, I don't know that they would be able to do extension work but they would certainly do the internals and may be able to recommend or contract builders too.
