Haven't been involved in the lotus world for a few years but I sold my 993 earlier in the year and now thinking about a possible Evora purchase.
Is there anyone with one anywhere near Dundee who would let me have a nose about theirs and maybe take me out for a quick spin as I've never actually sat in one?

I know Campbell's is for sale but if I go for one it probably won't be blue.

Depending on budget MMC have a few 400s and it looks like the price point has been lowered and they have or had a couple of 'old model' Evoras in non blue.

I'll be looking at an early one so around the 30k mark and has to be a +2 so I can take the kids in it.

I am in Aberdeen. Happy to give you a run if you are ever up here or if you are at RDSF on Sunday.

Simon, good to hear from you again. You're welcome to a (very thorough) look round mine any time. Should also have it at Kincardine Castle for RDSF this weekend, or I may be up at my Dad's in Carnoustie over the next month or two. Just depends how much of a hurry you are in.

Pity you don't like Persian Blue...

Looking forward to hearing how the sports exhaust compares to the tubular.

Simon,

Nice to hear that you are coming back into the fold. Hope you don't regret selling the 993 as the prices have gone into the stratos the time you have had yours.

At least you will have a much more pleasant experience when it comes around to servicing compared to the 993 (although a new clutch is 993 expensive). When I had the 964 is was always a worry come service time as to whether it was going to be £500 or £5000!!!

I don't have my Evora anymore (sold to go to a 987.2 Spyder) but you will not be dissapointed by going to an Evora. It's a wonderful place to be and the fantastic handling makes it a true winner, would have another one in a heartbeat if I could.

George

It's not that I don't like it I just don't particularly want another blue Lotus having had one for so long!

Fair reasoning - one of the better colours to show off the shape IMO (biased, here) Get a good one and they are fantastic cars. Don't drive Elaine's often, but I'm reminded why I fell in love with Lotuses every time I do.

At that budget (same as ours), the later the better, but it'll be an early car. If you can get one without the tech pack to save a bit on the purchase value, all of that stuff is retro-fittable for not a lot (and for better quality stuff than the factory fitted) I think a lot of non-tech pack early cars will already have had that done though. We got a Launch edition car and had a few niggles, which are easily sorted if you know about them. Stupid stuff like the boot channel drain holes being too small, so needing opened up.

:welcome back, mate!

Loved your Mag Blue 111s with the Larini. Best sounding K-Powered S2 ever I think.
