Thanks Mark, yellow one is skin only, uklotuscentre are a joke, not sure what they are selling at £45 but postage is £145. Will give the other guy who is breaking his S2 a call as his damage is all drivers side.

Car hit me when I pulled out of a T junction.

Ive got one but not sure what condition its in. It came from my Exige which was damaged but the guy had a spare door so I never looked at repair, I think its maybe not too bad. Give me a call tonight to remind me and Ill take a photo of it.

Thanks Craig, if it is undamaged enough to fit then that would keep me going until I decide what to do.

Just realised that I will not have a choice as regards making a claim because he is putting in one. Only works if nobody else is involved. Unbelievably I have no details of the other driver. I gave him all mine, but together with putting the car safe, making sure that other traffic slowed down, and then the boys trying to do a temp repair job on the car so that I could drive it, I never got any of his. Hate to admit it but probably was in shock as well as it was hell of a bang out of nowhere, and I got showered in broken glass.

04 silver grey Ford Focus going to Alford, and that was it. Had just renewed my Insurance with A1 on Saturday as it is due next month so no probs there, it had gone up from £1,400 to £1,600 but in no position to swap around, but at least i will get my moneys worth. As he will have put a claim in no doubt A1 will contact me.

However it will all take time Craig, so if your door would do the job in the meantime so the car is still driveable, that would be a great help.

Hope it gets sorted Tut, your insurance premium's going to be bigger than the national debt of a small country

Just renewed it Mark two days before the accident, so they will have to wait until Sept next year.

tut

ps:- it will be knock for knock, barely ever clear cut in an accident, so we will both be penalised. A1 takes no note of NCB or protected policy, though I have max in both, but of course like everybody else, if you have an accident then the renewal will always go up.

Mike thought a rear wishbone may be bent, but had it up on the ramp today and everything is fine.

As it was side to side the energy was dissipated, his damage was purely rippled bodywork.

Do you want me to have a look over here, tut? (Ireland).

I've had some dialogue with one the local Lotus specialists since I moved, and he might have some leads - I have my 3 series estate with me (so could probably chuck a door / sill in the back), and will be heading back to mainland UK a week on Sunday, and towards Aberdeen on Monday the 5th?

Not wishbone tut, toe link. The inboard balljoint looked bent on the threaded part between the balljoint and tie bar.
