Im glad I signed up to prime for this, enjoyed the series and many other things now as well. I think 70% of each program was good but there was a lot of filler, I didn't like the crappy filler bits, people as parking sensors etc, I wasn't fussed about the celebrity bit and not taken with "the American". I would have liked to have seen them do more in the area they were filming, make more of the grand tour aspect. I did enjoy the actual banter between them, not the strained scripted bits and it was generally just good to see the tree of the back on tv again, looked like they were enjoying it. I think if you filtered the less good bits out you could have condensed it into 8 excellent episodes. Still made enjoyable viewing for 13 weeks.

It could be the three of them flinging spoonfuls of cat sh*t over a Mk2 Fiesta for and hour while singing Coldplay dirges, and we'd all still tune in. Compulsory viewing!

Agree with Smee, I don't think a score out of 10 works for any episode, because most episodes had something 8/10 or above in them, and all of them had some 1/10 garbage too. An average score doesn't really tell the whole story.

Eh? The only car that has genuine off-road capability in a segment about SUVs is 'just a big box' yet the jag with its road chassis with road-car handling, designed as a box as it's fashionable yet that's the one that's aspirational?

Go figure.

Don't take it personally Greg. I wasn't commenting on its capability :-)

We're still catching up (only at Episode 6)

Have enjoyed it so far - but really disappointed we can't let Cameron (5 yrs old now) watch it by himself as there are bits we need to fast forward past - mostly Celebrity Brain Crash which isn't funny anyway, and try explaining a dead Kimi Raikkonen to a 5 year old F1 fan

So - could do without that and a few other things (mindless killings in the SAS episode ring a bell) - but other parts have had us in stitches, and some great motoring elements too (who'd have thought in a car show!!)

Looking forward to the rest of the series

Well I'm sitting on a boat pretty much on the equator with very little to do, and by chance they have digital on demand TV series and movies, so have just rattled through the whole lot in 4 days.

No real surprises, some funny bits but the usual cocking about and totally cringeworthy bits which was to be expected I suppose.

Glad I've seen it, but also glad I didn't pay to see it also
