Garage near Kintore/Inverurie - NLC

Post by pshanks76 » Tue Nov 22, 2016 6:29 pm

The MOT on my (Ford Transit based) campervan is due mid September and there will likely be a wee bit of work required - part of one of the sills is pretty rusted and may need some remedial work.

I haven't used any garages in the local area and wondered if anyone had any recommendations?

Cheers, Paul.

Brian Downie is the only guy in the area I'd use for any non-franchise type work. He's a proper old-school motor engineer. Can come across as a bit grumpy sometimes but he's an absolute legend.

I put my motorhome in to C&M MacDonald in kintore for an MOT. They didn't have any work to do but they did look very well setup to deal with work on the motorhome and similar vehicles. They were good to deal with, very straight forward country type setup. I plan to use them for servicing in the future.

I also know Brian well, certainly worth a call, but I think he'd struggle with anything bigger than a car.

He's had a few bigger vehicles in his new place - over the road from his house?

He is something of a Subaru specialist but he looks after several Porsche/Ferrari/Aston/Lotus/Caterhams too
