Bumping. A bad sign.

Just watching Sundays episode.

Joey from Friends is getting better, best thing about the new format.
Harris is ok, has a rapport with Leblanc
Rory. Not getting him at all. Hammond minus a personality and too much sugar.

Anything with Sabine or EJ is utter cack.

That said, the thing that will kill it first is the extended 30 mins of celebrity brain death. This can only be a desperate product placement from our beloved impartial uniquely funded broadcasting service.

I like it as much as the Grand Tour - neither are perfect but both have developed and I like that they're both watchable car programmes :thumbsup

Really enjoyed every episode this season so far. Looks like they are back up there with the good old days.

I'm enjoying it more than the Grand Tour, which I didn't go back to after 2 or 3 episodes. Not watched any extra gear yet, but have them ready to go on the box now.

The EJ / Sabine bits are probably the worst, but they seem to be kept to smaller segments, and I really enjoyed the buggy racing section at the weekend.

Just watched the Sir Chris Hoy and GT Ford/ Le Blanc bit which is by quite a margin the best stuff the new TG era has produced.

This week's Cuba stuff was quite cool too.

And I'm not a Merc fan but that GTR looks no' bad in Skoda green too.

I also thought it was an odd choice to paint it satin Skoda green. The front of the Merc also seems to have been engulfed by a BADGE and GRILL, which I guess is in line with the rest of the range, but for me, they are ruining what is otherwise a really nice looking car with a front that is like a billboard on wheels - we get it, it's a Mercedes.
Probably not helped by the mid term face-lift of all of the Mercedes where the designers took the age old decision to simply turn the grill upside down to make a non-offensive happy car into an angry, sad, fat lip one instead. The bling external facing Maserati grill style doesn't help either, it just looks puffed out and rap...

Good episode, with the exception of the digger spot which was long and dull after the initial laugh.

Enjoyable episode last night to end the season.

The comparison for me compared to Top Gear of old, was 1/2 to 2/3 of the old Top Gear would have been on the car/boat build whereas the new format keeps it to a much more condensed timescale. Very little interest from a Petrolhead perspective but as it was relatively short it was palatable and did appreaciate the very loose design aspects of that hideous vehicle.

We are all sad here on our sofa, that it's the end of a series. That says it all!

Great episode last night. Genuinely laughing at some of the pieces and good to see JK really push through on the fast lap.
