Watched the last episode last night, and Extra Gear too - both of which have been very good imo. Really impressed.
The Bernie / Eddie interview was however bizarre! Completely out of place - though I do feel that Top Gear is an acceptable medium for F1 promotions, the interview was clearly cut to shreds and did not much other than confirm that BE is great at dodging questions!

I was one of the ones that said the BBC would have to move completely away from the 3 presenters dynamic. I was wrong. The 3 they have now seem more genuine now somehow. Whilst Clarkson et al were acting caricatures, this lot somehow seem to actually enjoying themselves, genuinely having fun, and each of them is less annoying.

Great stuff :)

May as well ressurrect this thread for 2018.

Really enjoyed tonight’s episode.

More enjoyment in that hour than the 6 episodes of The Grand Tour I’ve been bothered to watch so far put together.

Yes. Three thumbs up from Team Ford.

Although. V8s. America. Ken Block. Plus Sabine. Hard to screw that up really.

I actually didn't make it to the end of S02e01 of the Grand Tour (although Ive been reliably informed it gets better). They just come across as unbearable bores, Hammond is inexplicably dressed as a carnival magician and they can't go for 6 seconds without referencing the old show.

TG was great.

As I said, I’m 6 episodes deep and it hasn’t got better yet....

Thought TG was a bit meh, but Extra Gear was interesting with John Hennessey...

TG made me chuckle, team are bonding well. I loved when Monkey realised it was Sabine driving.

GT makes me cringe too much and I cannot watch it with the little ones due to their puerile nonsense which is cheap humour.

I like TG & GT , there is space for both and Im happy that there is competition to keep both on their game.

Watched Extra Gear last night and looks like they have lost the other "Extra Gear" nerdy presenter. Admit I was not a massive fan of him but he was ok.

Really enjoyed the chat with Hennesey.

However sack Sabine's make up artist, looked like it had been applied by an 8 year old practising on those styling head dolls.

Gave the new TG a shot, Harris and LeBlanc could be good together but I lasted 15mins and lost interest. The other guy doesn't fit at all.

Series 2 of TGT was far better than any of the 'new' Top Gear, or the last last few seasons of the CHM version for that matter but suspect many unbearable bores won't notice.

I thought the ‘unbearable bores’ were the ones that thought C,H & M could do no wrong and the new TG can do no right? 🙄😜
