Blast in the Highlands

Im currently stuck up in Inverness, to which I am taking great advantage of the roads up here.
Today I found a brilliant route that is just to good not to share... see below.
As above, Head from Inverness to Cawdor and take a right after the village... this is where it gets fun. From there I followed the road down to the Old Military road, round Lochindorb which was an amazing twisty road right on the edge of the Loch and from there back onto the semi main road towards Forress or Nairn.
This route could easily be made into a circle,I just had to stop at Forress for some lunch!
A photo from the jaunt, This was between Cawdor and Balmore I believe.

I have done most of that sections and I agree that it's a good run. Have a run down to Grantown and over to Tomintoul, then to Dufftown. Turn around and come back the same way. It's awesome.
Btw, is that Big Ds former car?
Steve.

Been over Tomintoul a few times now with her. Been traveling Aberdeen to Inverness a fair bit. It is Big Ds former car. I just had the original alloys send down this weekend going to have a swap at some point this week.

Not me, mines a red S2 based near Forres but it only comes out when it is dry.
Swing in past if you like and we'll take a spin round there again.
Cheers, steve

i have a variant of that heading to my folks (Aberdeenshire to Black Isle) if you get to point C, head for Dufftown then back via the Cabrach, then over the Suie, Lords throat then into Aberdeen(shire) Scenery is great. Cabrach also a great road as it has good visibility in the roller-skate. I live in Insch (aberdeenshire one) but hail from the might Conon Bridge.

From my biking days in Aberdeen, the Rhynie to Huntley road is also a nice road to take as well, can't remember what the Huntly to Dufftown road is like however.
