Looks like some sort of Evora variant to me with potentially lots of carbon.

Nah, road version of Exige 380 Race which has those vents...

Re: What are lotus up to?
I found the description made rather sickly reading, too much self congratulation, and as for leaving everything else in its wake on road or track........

I didn't read the blurb, just looked at the pictures. I like the look of it, just not so sure about the wiper in the middle of the screen

Re: What are lotus up to?
Is this some sort of nod to the current fad of having a "drifty button" to make drivers feel like a hero despite the electronics keeping them alive?
"In a new development, the Lotus Exige Cup 380 includes a variable traction control function which is linked directly to the ECU and allows the amount of wheel slip to be set by the driver. The six-position rotary switch is located on the steering column and is only available with ESP switched off, with the percentage of target wheel slip from 1% to 12% in five settings and “off”, displayed via the instrument cluster."
Actually sounds more like the variable slip function that was available in the Racelogic system (non-OEM), in which case its not really 'new'..

I was away to post that same bit of blurb. What confuses me is it's suggesting turning all the toys off doesn't really turn them off

Nice. How will buyers feel when the Cup 397.5 comes out in September though.

Re: What are lotus up to?
It's a fair point. I am a tentative potential buyer of a new Lotus. I appreciate that is pretty vague but I like the brand, I have had a fair few of the cars and wouldn't mind having another one. I have had a couple of visits to the showroom to have a nosey at the "latest" new car as they get announced (and for me it is usually that "what if..." that turns into a new car) but then... another one gets hinted about, or announced, or ..... It actually becomes easier just to focus on older stuff.campbell wrote:Nice. How will buyers feel when the Cup 397.5 comes out in September though.
It does look good tho
