Gawd, so they have. I'll add that to the snagging list :blackeye

Some taken during the shakedown runs.

Looks awesome !

What does it mean if it’s ‘going to be their showcase car’ ?

Really it's just being set up as the top example of the spec they would like to take orders for.

Not necessarily the rally rep look since the bodywork can either be the narrow arches, square arch or round arch and there are a lot of folk keen on a more subtle Stradale car .. but more the fact that (eg) the best spec of car has the top suspension package and handles better than some of the other options. The ITB package and modified cams push the power up to the goldilox level for the car but really needs the big brake package. The custom gp4 exhaust best suits the rally-rep cars but that additionally involves a cost for plasma coating it and other mods. The engine work, custom loom and tuning options add a cost but add to the package. Sending the car off to be trimmed professionally shoves up the budget. Even things like the fact it's painted (the original white gelcoat is really great as well) just nudges the bar up a bit. Obviously the rally-rep look won't be for everyone but it should stand out. Overall it's more a "this is what we can do" for you" thing.

In a non-covid time I expect I'd agree to have it transported to the shows they attend. I've agreed to make it available for Evo Magazine for a review when the logistics of that get sorted. One of the YouTubers is nudging for review.

A bizarre thing tho is that if you wanted to order a build slot, ie a chassis, never mind an end result, then there are none available till 2025/26.

I'd be pretty keen to see it myself, to be honest.

Yeah, ListerBell folk are trailering it there for the show to get some more publicity. Being honest, I’d never really heard of the guy till he did the Supercar Garage thing with my mates Stratos, F50, CGT and Miura but he does seem to have quite a following so I’m just going with the flow really.

Oh, lots of updates. Everything still in hand but as I write the engine is just going back in after having some additional work done but all is good. It was at The Late Brake Show with Jonny Smith a couple of weeks ago and apparently went down well.

Simultaneously, one of my mates who is a carbon fiber specialist is in the process of creating a carbon airbox for me which seems to involve lots of expensive and complex machinery to make a mould for the carbon.

Won't be long now. We've been house hunting recently so I've not really been particularly bothered about car things.

Where has the last 4 years(!) gone?
Well, the end is in sight. Car should be delivered in 10 days. No, really.

It was ready to be with me a couple of weeks ago but the spanner in the works was that EVO Car Magazine had just got in touch with ListerBell asking about the possibility of doing a road test and review. That was probably on the back of the youtube video of Kevin saying he'd rather keep his LB Stratos rather than is CGT, F50 and all his other cars. Incase that was something that could seamlessly happen we held off delivering the car but it's going to take a wee bit of logistical juggling to do so I've agreed to let them have the car later if needs be. Anyhow... the countdown is now on. :blackeye
