that reminds me of Sega Rally days! What a car!

Enjoy it.

Was down at Ariel last month and they were showing me the integrated reversing camera for the Atom, which is brilliant. The dash essentially becomes your screen when reversing and the camera is a tiny little thing on the number late bracket - not saying that would work for this but there are some clever ways around it if required. (Atoms a bitch for reversing - even more so for loading on trailers)

Well, 3 drives out in it now and a whole 130 miles under my belt.
In summary.... a bit underwhelmed really and will probably sell it in summer to some other mug.

Only kidding!! :blackeye

It certainly gets attention. There's a toggle switch for the pop/bang/flame map for the engine on the dash and it is completely bonkers with it on. The temptation is to slightly back off the throttle all the time and it sounds like someone is dropping hand grenades out the exhaust. I also know there must be flames because you can see people pointing with their eyes wide open Fun in a totally childish way

The roads have been grotty so I've just been pottering around in it. The speedo is tucked out the way behind the wheel rim and your right hand so not exactly easy to keep an eye on but I genuinely thought it was maybe reading in kph since it gathered speed so quickly but no, good old mph.

Just like SEGA indeed 8)

The bridge pic is my fave, Jim.

Is it a risk that it’s wearing one of Wendy’s plates

Wow, that looks amazing 8) It must surely grab more attention than any Lambo or Ferrari.

It's a different sort of attention. I've no experience of Lambo's but if I'm out and about in the Ferrari almost everyone knows that the bright red, loud, noisy car is a Ferrari because it looks and sounds like folk expect a Ferrari to look and sound like and Ferrari's get attention because you don't really see them very often. Hardly anyone in general ever asks what model or type it is and are satisfied that they've seen one. Obviously the car geeks don't need to ask 'cause they already know. My Ultima gets a lot of attention but more in a WTF is that?!?!?! type of thing. It just looks a bit out of place on the road.

So far, with the Stratos it seems like there's a bunch of folk (mostly blokes of a certain age) who instantly know what it is and know all about them. So far, about 1/2 the blokes who have come over to speak to me about it at petrol stations claim to have heard them ripping through forest rally stages in the 70s and 80s. I'm surprised there was any room for the trees!! :D

It looks incredible, just able lost my ear and gave myself whiplash when you drove past the barbers in the ferry this morning while I was getting my hair cut!

Sounded ace too! Really stands out in a sea of drab xovers.
