It's getting within touching distance so apologies for slight photo-overload. Only real thing left to do is wire up the dash once the bespoke carbon part is completed and fit the carbon airbox. There's probably a lot of work involved in wiring the dash and there's certainly a lot of dials and switches and toggles, but hey... the end is near.

Have to confess that I was buzzing like a wee boy this morning after going to see it. I shouldn't lose it in a supermarket carpark but the irony is that I'm unlikely to be driving it in the dark too often. :D

It is looking great and glad to hear your close to picking her up.

Think you could hire out the Stratos for extra lighting at the local football matches ;) Looks fantastic with the spots on.

Definitely some great pics. That first one was one of the early pics I used to decide I wanted the more aggressive square rear arches for my car.

I should be registered on a new 2021 plate from 1st June. The carbon dash is made and just being wired up this weekend. Going with a fairly traditional retro Group 4 dash arrangement but with slightly more modern aspect. The Branz rally timer is a gps derived unit and the matching twin watches are Swiss Heuer style quartz pieces. The toggle switch labeled "STR Mode" is the switch for going between the normal map and the overfueling, pop-bang-flames mode. Should be nice.

Loving the clock faces,, as you say very Rally Heuer.

Had a look at the originals a while back when I saw them in an auction but they sure cost as people want them for their Mille Mille entries.

Jim,

Maybe you could have a rally theme running in the garage and get this for the shopping runs :)

I remember when I lived in Edinburgh that the Ford garage near Tollcross had one in the window for sale. Can't remember the price but I'm pretty sure it was less than that :)

Sure does :blackeye

The longer video is an interesting watch for the contents of Kevin's garage and where he ranks the STR in that

Watch on YouTube

My car, which is on a totally different level to the one in the video, is due to be delivered in 2 weeks but something has come up that might be too good to miss so I'll see how that fits in.
