Well, the end is in sight. Car should be delivered in 10 days. No, really.

It was ready to be with me a couple of weeks ago but the spanner in the works was that EVO Car Magazine had just got in touch with ListerBell asking about the possibility of doing a road test and review. That was probably on the back of the youtube video of Kevin saying he'd rather keep his LB Stratos rather than is CGT, F50 and all his other cars. Incase that was something that could seamlessly happen we held off delivering the car but it's going to take a wee bit of logistical juggling to do so I've agreed to let them have the car later if needs be. Anyhow... the countdown is now on. :blackeye

Should be here on Saturday. The LB folk are bringing it up and staying with us for a few days. Should have been last Thursday really, but Wendy tested positive for Covid earlier in the week so that put a spanner in the works.

Gratuitous photos of some dashboard wiring in the mean time as a bit of filler... :blackeye

Don't encourage her (admittedly her symptoms were very mild and if it weren't for the positive tests then she would have put it down to a couple of days of girl-flu)

However, I've been discovering all the joys of "the weekly shop" and have been sent off to Morrison's with a long list of what to get and a map of where to find it. Some things are quite randomly spread around on the shelves. Hey ho

Lol. Try Sainsbury’s for utterly illogical store layout.

Then treat yourself to Aldi or Lidl next. They will blow your mind with their simplicity and effectiveness. They are the Lotus of supermarkets!

So, the moral to the story is never count your chickens :)

I suppose one of the good things about shakedown tests is they identify some issues. The last couple of days identified a couple of minor issues. Nothing serious and the sort of things that would probably be ironed out earlier in a production car life rather than in a bespoke one-off.

Yes, it's a bit frustrating and when I got the call today I might (nearly) have shed a tear but I know they want the car to be perfect and since it's going to be their showcase car the additional delay should be fairly insignificant in the long run.

In the meantime, some more photos
