Congrats Campbell.

Do you think the car will be a keeper irrespective of any other Lotus you get ?

Having a car with all those memories is something special, even if it ends up not used for a bit, would be great to get handed down to the next generation, then they will know who is no1 child :)

Congrats on the anniversary. I can still remember driving your car when it was only a few weeks old :)

Hmmm...

Lotus Show at Donington in 2000 - The show was a static affair, so we all went for a blez around the country and managed to get a bit lost. (Although tut did earn his 'No Fear' sticker, for a multi overtake up Snake Pass :P )

(With my old Elan)

(Pre-GPS days - Pre-digital camera, too - Low res scans of some photographs).

I'd been partying a bit too hard in Nottingham on the Saturday night, so you drove my Elan part of the way up the road, and UJI ferried me up with Lisa at the wheel

Stelvio 2001

Epic trip – Nuff said (I need to find & scan the negatives for this trip in a higher resolution)

Donington 2008/2009?

A LOT day – I think I popped down with Robin for the beer / curry side of things, and ended up assisting with the spotting laps, as I’d driven there a few times before – My reward was being given the keys to UJI for a few laps.

Oulton Park /Anglesey Coastal – Nov 2012

Another couple of LOT days – I’d been loaned Egor for the trip – We convoyed back to Scotland from Wales IIRC

Hethel / Spa / Zolder June 2014

The SpaZ trip – Campbell kindly loaned UJI for the trip, and it made the journey back to point of origin at Hethel, with added track day antics. Thereafter, it was over to mainland Europe for LOT days at Spa & Zolder.

Well I've just reviewed the bill for its midlife mechanical makeover and let's just say I'm not letting anyone else enjoy the benefit of that investment quite yet =8-o

Really fancy a spell with an S2 Exige or Toyota S2 Elise. Not clear when though. Poss a couple of years away yet.

I think that was around the time you switched from Catalunya to Terzo wasn't it?!

Happy days.

Got the call from CMC to say midlife maintenance project all complete and correct.

HGF just needed a gasket and freshened valve seats. Rad, uprated fan and fresh hoses all in. New driving lamps in (brackets were rubble) and a new coolant header tank for freshness.

Looking forward to trying her out tomorrow :-)

Indeed it is, D. Albeit still a North-of-£2k result =8-o but Craig did a decent job of keeping the costs tight. And the car is running well.

Just front brakes to swap (James is going to help me, once they are back from Pollock Precision)

18th birthday celebrations

Post by campbell » Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:05 am

Ha ha. We both look about 12! Stelvio 99 formal dinner?

Hope to get the Elise back to that very spot next Sunday. That was taken the day we picked it up and plan to recreate some of the same route :-)

Tweedsmuir to St Mary's Loch.
