Road resurfacing

I was hoping to embark on a roadtrip today.
Day 1: Peterhead - Braemar - Spittal of Glenshee - Perth - night in Edinburgh.
Day 2: Edinburgh - Loch Lomond - Glen Coe - Fort William and back home over Lecht.

However, I have heard on a few different groups that the old military road has been resurfaced. Does anyone have any more information on what roads have been desecrated?

If you mean the road that goes up and over Bridge of Dye way I drove it last month and they'd put lovely smooth black tarmac on it. The road to it from the Edzel side had been sprayed and chipped but it should be ok now.

Yes, I came over the old military road to Banchory on Saturday morning. All resurfaced with that wonderful grit. 10-15mph for me the whole way :( ... Same problem on some of the A68 while heading down & back from Croft Circuit too.
