Maser, that could be very appealing - how is it for running costs / reliability? (predictable I know).
I'll admit to not doing a lot of miles (maybe 4k) in it but running costs are quite reasonable. Some parts are about crazy, a clutch plate is a grand and the brakes are from a 550 Maranello, but the usual after market options like yellow stuff are available. Touch wood, it's been flawless, the v8 is known to be pretty understressed and happy to do way in excess of 100k miles, though values plummet.
Insurance for me is slightly cheaper than the Elise, fuel... Yeah... I think I once saw 20mpg, 15 isn't uncommon, but mine is only used for fun A roads and acceleration is addictive...

The newer GranTurismo is much of the same I believe, bigger and more towards a mile munching comfy GT than a sports GT.

Another thought, budget dependant, an Aston V8V would be a good investment. They look to have bottomed out and I think will only go up.

With the high back booster laws, does she fit in an Evora at all?

Thanks for the maser info Chris. I may very well be bending your ear more..... plenty of appeal and I like that it's a bit different.

Astons- assumed that they would be out of reach. Suspect they would push the budget a bit far... and running costs on a v12 might just be a much.

Dom,

Increase the budget for your daily and you could get this

Ok, it not the usual Alfa Red which is so much more desirable but the 3.2 is a lovely engine and you even have the Alfa Q4 wheel drive system for added usefulness in the winter months.

Another option could be the GT or Brera but you are compromising practicality

That's nice, but the estate car would just really be for tip runs, bike carrying b and q trips. Coupe would be the daily. On that basis, estate needs to be a decent size too.

Interesting to know that you can get this as a daily coupe, however I think if you put a private reg on, most of your client would think your rates would need to go down :)

Another left field choice, which is not exactly a dynamic drive, but a Merc SL 55/63 could tick a few boxes and has the advantage of going topless when the the weather dictates

You could also go to the dark side with a TVR Cerbera

Conti GT a great suggestion, my father has one and it has a real sense of occasion to drive, and the rear seats are surprisingly useable. Fuel is mad tho haha

SL another 2 seater so not an option for our intrepid accountant

Ha! Cerbera isn't a realistic daily - and the rear seats are almost as useless as an Evora...

For some reason I thought you could get a 4 seat SL but probably remembering back to the old days.

A RS4 Avant would get you to the tip quite quickly. Too sensible maybe.
