If I was in the market for a practical super saloon to deliver on all fronts in addition the Jag I suggested I would think the Alfa Gulia Quadrafogila.... properly quick, 4 doors and Ferrari DNA in the engine!

Problem is, if I tried to order one of them, I'd probably end up getting a pizza delivered.

Always loved the Brera too - that could work along side a nicer estate car.. speaking of which, trailer idea could be a good shout.
As someone else said, if you go Brera, it has to be the prodrive one.

My sensible family car is a 1.9TD 159m which is virtually identical to a Brera up to the back of the front doors (and I mean everything - body, wheels, engines, seats, dashboard....)
It's a pretty thing to look at, and a fairly nice place to be (I suspect not holding up to BMW / Merc etc though), but when driving, it's clear that it's a heavy car, and front heavy one at that.
I don't see the Brera being much different, in fact, being shorter, I'd imagine more of the weight is biased over the front wheels, and a bunch more power probably won't help that much either.
I'm not sure it'd be special enough, as an accompaniment to an estate. I mean, just buy a 159 Estate ;)

Also, 4 cheese pizza, that's the way to go. In either food or super saloon variety.

Bear in mind the 4 cheese pizza is a fair whack of cash - even the earliest are mid-40s, there's also the Stelvio 4CP too with the same engine - slightly unhinged that

...and it's an Alfa so it'll drop in value like a stone (hopefully, pens in one for a few years time)

The Stelvio.. Yeah. I don't get it, but then I don't get anything SUV like..

I can do you a good deal on an Alfa GT. Bodywork and interior are in fabulous condition.

As a bonus, you can even fit your own choice of engine :D

I want to sell my 335i Convertible.
I fancy a 640d coupe ........ 313bhp standard - remap takes it up towards 390bhp
tax is about £150 a year
30 approx to the gallon realistically

D
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

S2 Exige
BMW 435d M Sport - 375bhp..... and stops now (big brakes!😁)
Work Horse - Ford Transit - Full of crap spec....... 170bhp one :-)

Hmmmm... don't recall "standard" being one of Dom's criteria

Although I'll admit this particular motor isn't for everyone.... :damnfunny
