I've price checked with them on various manufacturers but mainly BMW. The offers can always be bettered but by very little ie 1 or 2%.
Good starting point to haggle with your local dealer though.
Re: What car to get ? #2
Took a couple of Carwow quotes before we bought our second Octavia. Figures seemed OK. However even discounted, new pricing was still too far ahead of nearly-new, and we tracked down what we wanted for about £8k off list via Approved Used with only 8k Skoda Management miles on it. Would have needed to be a mega-deal on Carwow to tempt us!
I would use it again.

Would also recommend B8 RS4. Had mine nearly 4 years now and no issues with it. It’s no drivers car but it’s fast, practical and fun enough for a daily. Added bonus of getting to enjoy what will probably be one of the last N/A V8 estates.

Nope, Golf is on a newer chassis.
The first of the new shape (mk7) Golfs had 300bhp and the DSG was the same 6speed as the Scirrocco, the facelift one now has 310bhp and a seven-speed DSG.

Does yours have the dynamic steering and how long did it take to get used to it?

It does have the dynamic steering and it’s my least favourite thing about the car. I’m used to it now but when I was jumping from lotus into the RS I’d have to re-adjust to it again.

The RS6 C7 has come down in value significantly, the new one won't be out until this time next year and will (probably) have the same power-train as the Panamera Turbo S E so it will be the last chance for that v8 engine.
Most people want to go for dynamic ride but the air is fine and not wallowy on uk roads unless you're doing something extremely silly.
Drive the Alfa QV at millbrook, very competent, capable and fun.
