Folks,
Just a little warning that if your are due to pay your self assessment then HMRC will no longer accept a personal credit card as a form of payment.
They seemingly explain it in their video link that they send you however do not make it exactly crystal clear in their emails
Just found that lovely bit of info out when about to pay my bill tonight !!!!

Too late for you this time but if you get yourself a Curve card you can get round this. Curve is a Mastercard Debit that then recharges to a Mastercard/Visa credit or debit of your choice. So useful for paying the tax man, plus far cheaper to use abroad as they only charge 1% commission. I've just used it to pay HMRC so can confirm it works with no additional card charges like they used to add on for using a credit card. Getting a few air miles out of paying your tax makes it a bit more palatable.
