S1 Elise bits - quick update
S1 Elise bits - quick update
I put a batch of S1 parts into a single SE Classified ad a few days back. Quite a few have sold already, mostly with help from SELOC.
Rest are here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=43728&p=518153#p518153
Just in case any S1 owners are starting to come out of hibernation...

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
Will take the ball joints if they don't go on seloc
Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
I'd double check with Campbell who the supplier was. Experience has taught me only to use Elise parts/ seriously lotus etc as suppliers. The part factor ball joints I bought were, generally, abysmal. The Lotus specialists have their's made to a spec rather than just the generic Chevette parts generally available.

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
Much appreciated Woody, I'm only interested in the best pieces possible for the car.
Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
These are now sold.
(Thanks Woody)
I have a few items remaining. Mostly Lotus OEM...

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
Attention S1 owners. Campbell's Auto-Jumble almost cleaned out!
A cheeky wee bump to help clear the garage once and for all. I have lots of bikes to accommodate instead
Most of it has all gone courtesy of SELOC.
Just the set of rims, cat replacement pipe and hub flange left.
Shortcut: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=43728&p=518153#p518153
As ever, an SE deal is there to be done for anyone here.
thanks
Campbell
(Lotusless faction) - think that's the first time I've ever been able to write that

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
By way of closure...
The last items were delivered today (eventually - no thanks to Yodel) to their new owner in Denmark. 4 Rimstock wheels in original finish. Bit of an adventure but we got it done. Moral of the story? Use UPS for international shipping. Never, ever, ever use Yodel. For anything. Ever.
Anyway...So like any noble organ donor, our old S1 has helped out several other of its kind it seems
Just like to say a very big thanks to a range of buyers both in this group and beyond. Won't namecheck you for modesty, but you know who you are.
Cheers all. Much appreciated, as I am something of a hoarder. Now we have room in the garage for the S3, the bikes, the soapboxes, the golf clubs, and all the other stuff I've hoarded and have NOT yet brought myself to discard, LOL.

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
Well done. Always nice to have a bit of a clear out.
I'm also afflicted with the hoarding disease as Erica keeps reminding me.
Funny you should mention wheels, they seem to be my weak spot.
I have 3 sets for the Elise (despite having the Rotas on for the last 6 or 7 years)
2 Classic Mini sets (despite it being years since I've had one)
and a set of 944 wheels.
The thought of packaging them for shipping is like my idea of hell though!

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
Packaging is the easy bit. Trusting a courier less so

Re: S1 Elise bits - quick update
...yes, that's another thought. In true style... I'm continuing my wheel addiction, and have a set for the Mini on the way (delivery miles wheels and tyres with a manufacture date of June 18, for the cost of 4 new tyres - though i had to buy TPMS valves and will have to get them fitted still). The seller was collection only, so I arranged a courier via Paisley Freight who it seems are using APC. Due to arrive today, but I'm at work. Fingers crossed they arrive in one piece, and, well, all 4 of them as they are packaged separately!
If this goes well, I guess I have no excuses in getting rid of the others.
