Didn't you used to have a BMW 3 series and said it was sh*t? I remember you moaning about it a lot

Yup. Had a 2008 E90 320d manual with the 177 bhp engine in sensible silver SE spec.

Didn’t like the clutch judder and it was one of the first cars to have stop/start and that didn’t work well. The 4 cylinder engine was a bit agricultural at times and the SE spec wasn’t fancy.

It was actually great in some ways, like when it was cruising on a motorway and giving good mpg... and it was pretty well built and stuff... but I’ll not choose a car with a 4 cylinder diesel again that’s for sure... not if I have any choice in the matter!!

Main issue at the time was that I wanted something like a golf Gti but company had rules etc so had to get a repmobile. Boooooooo!!!

How about a cheap as chips left field suggestion for the price on 2 months of commuting fuel:

Alternatively if it does not have enough oomph, trip to CMC to replace the motor with a Polestar unit so you have an excellent sleeper on your hands.

Well after a bit of a distraction with some Audi S4s and a dalliance with the RRS's .... decision made.

Deposit placed on a 335d Touring. Just kept coming back to that as the best all rounder in the end.

Pics etc to follow when we get it in a week or so, if all goes to plan!

In the meantime, need to do a proper ad for the Audi A3 and the mighty Volvo XC70. Coming to a classifieds near you very soon!

:cheers

Need a bit more detail than that!

New, used? Spec? Colour combo?
VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

Perhaps you should actually read the thread properly.

Plenty of advice was investigated and helped confirm the correct choice.
