Just to add, thanks to the advice in this thread, I had a fantastic time last week driving (some of) the NC500.

Day 1:
From Dundee, I went over Glenshee / Lecht, Cawdor Castle, Beauly - Dingwall - Tain (Glenmorangie Distillery), Bonar Bridge - Lairg - Altnahara - Forsinard - Armadale (B&B)

Day 2:
Armadale - Bettyhill - Heilam - Durness - Rhiconich - Drumbeg - Clachtoll - Loch Assynt - Elphin - Ullapool - Auchindrean - Gairloch

Camped for 4 nights at Gairloch with the family (who travelled seperately) then..

Day 3:
Gairloch - Applecross - Inverness - reverse of the bits from day 1 - Lecht, Glenshee, Dundee.

I didn't take the Lotus this time, but I think I might just have to do it all again with the Elise!

Spotted 1 Lotus on day 2 - a grey S1 with 160 wing, I think near Clachtoll, but I can't quite remember tbh.

What a fabulous country we live in!!

I saw you (well the TVR) either entering, or leaving, not sure which. I got back from the NC500 trip on Friday around 4.30pm, then spend Saturday and Sunday at Glamis in the Lotus. Great weather throughout, which probably helped all round!

It was absolutely perfect. I was craving the open top of the Lotus though.

It'll have been me arriving if you saw me heading down the drive towards the castle late morning as I got exited out the side entrance onto the Kirrie road :thumbsup

Is there any paint left on the car?!

That exit route used to be fit only for agricultural vehicles! I always thought it was meant as a test, challenging all the concourse level classics owners to prepare their car for the next show.

Well I was a bit surprised at the surface so took it easy. There was a wee narrow humpback bridge too, the van two in front of me had to slowly squeeze over it....blew the stoor off on the way to Forfar seeing as my ever-hungry 16yr old son NEEDED a KFC :damnfunny

Passed 4 today on the way down from Durness, V6, two S2, and an S1.
Was in the Motorhome, will need to get a Lotus Sport sunstrip on it. 😁
