I did British GP last year and used the bus from Northampton and it was brilliant.

My wife bought me a load of Grandstand vouchers for my 50th last year and using them this year I think for Singapore. Night time race, city circuit can F1 be better than that really (apart from full hospitality at Monaco!).

I really like the comments/feedback re WEC and will look to do three events next year as other feedback on WEC has been so positive.

Really hope you and your son enjoy the GP day on Friday.

Thanks again, all. Definitely will consider the 2019 WEC round (date clash this year) too :thumbsup

Just to close the loop on this:

Using the official car park we drove straight in, zero queueing, at 0830 and parked approx 100m from the circuit entrance gate by Woodcote. Traffic just was not an issue at all. Could not have been easier... and very pleased didn't give ourselves a needless 2 mile walk from Silverstone School's Friday field or tie ourselves to remote Park & Ride.

It was of course just the Friday, but some chaps parking next to us insisted they find it just as easy on Saturday and Sunday (Grandstand seats so avoid dawn madness on raceday) nowadays. "They have it really well sorted now".

Oh, and we had a fab day 8) Maybe the full weekend, or WEC, in 2019 :thumbsup
