Just got my rear tow eyes from Stu and just thought I'd post a quick thanks. MUCH nicer than the Elise parts one that I "borrowed" from Tenkfeet at Oulton in the summer which is all rusty now (me never having given it him back  so I'll have to get him another).

Thanks Stu,

Pete

I'd just like to re-iterate that Stu is ace! :D Rear towing eyes arrived yesterday. Thanks! :thumbsup

Is it quite obvious which bolts they should be attached to? Also, just wanted to check . . . can these be used to tow the car along the road (i.e. it'll be going backwards) or are they just to tow it up onto a flatbed thingy?

Cheers,
D

Spot on Mags.

The plan is that they just sit there and look nice- it was to appease Kh at the start of the season when first Greg then Jamie went into the kitty litter and it took about 20 mins to retrieve each car.

Hope you never need them as they haven't been designed and if you do need them at Kh make sure you engage reverse to give as much assistance as possible.

They'll be fine! What you do need is a nice tow rope to go with them....

I thought they were for road use too . . . or have I just wasted my money??? :?

I thought it was because the front "towing" eye supplied with the car is really only for securing the car, but these ones can be used to tow it? :?

Oh well . . . I'll just think of it as early preparation for getting myself on track! :D

Rich . . . I assume that's a sales pitch?

sadly the elise cannot be towed (except out of the gravel or a ditch or onto a flatbed).. the rear tow eyes were for the folk at KH after GregR ended a session half an hour early...
