Yet strikes me as one of the safest, best engineered, open-sighted roads in Scotland.

Meanwhile, in West Lothian, a £330000.00 theft took place from one of our neighbours in Brucefield Industry Park, and the police ask for anyone any with any information to get in touch.
We reported a theft from out storage compound 3 weeks prior to this, I have video evidence , reg number and a clear picture of the theft taking place, and am still waiting on a visit from anyone from our fantstic crime fighters. Even after another phone call last week , to point this out, still no visit.
Not than I am saying 142mph is not breaking the law, but it seems that the huge , easy fine looks like an easy option, Compared to actually investigating theft.....

Agree Stu. It seems ordinary Policing is suffering big time at the moment.
Hardly see any police about these days.

Re: 142 mph near Cowdenbeath
I got done in the same place 7 or 8 years ago, 88mph at 6.15am on a sunny Sunday morning in July with no other cars on the road.
Didn't seem like the best use of police resources to me but I was breaking the law so didn't complain.
But they wonder why people resent speed traps. Set up in any 30mph limit you care to mention at 4pm in January when it's dark and wet and you wouldn't get any complaints but early morning on a dual carriageway in summer must be easier pickings.

Re: 141 mph near Cowdenbeath
For some balance I should add that unbelievably there have been far too many fatalities on the A92, just google A92 fatalities.

Re: 141 mph near Cowdenbeath
Given the A92 runs all the way up to Stonehaven I'd imagine most of the fatalities won't have happened on the dual carriageway section we're talking about

Re: 141 mph near Cowdenbeath
Without googling, I'd say the chunk of the fatalities would have been the single carriageway section of the Newport-on-Tay to Kirkcaldy A92....sh*tter of a road

Down my way too. My cruise is set at 78 regardless of time of day on it.
