Cancer Research

I'm sure almost everyone on here will have been affected by cancer in one way or another. While cancer research appears to be making great advances they need a lot of processing power to do the number crunching, which is where everyone can help.

There's an app you can install on your smartphone - DreamLab. Just install it and any time the phones plugged in and over 80% charged it'll chug away, and with thousands doing the same there's effectively the same processing power as a supercomputer.

If your computers sitting idle some of the time then it's worth looking at World Community Grid. It'll run in the background and only use any of your resources when there's spare available. By default it'll max out your processor given the chance but you can dial that back as low as you want.

I've been running both for a couple of months now with no issues. Hopefully it makes a difference.
