Use shazam, alexa, siri or Google and see how good the recognition is. Its still pretty sh*t.

Then imagine it in a room "passively" and the accuracy goes down still further. Ever tried to use siri or Google over a car kit? Awful.

If you are genuinely worried about privacy then there are easier steps you can take such as not using Facebook, Gmail, not logging into Google, switching off location finding etc etc etc

We routinely give companies permission to mine and use all of our data and Cambridge analytica shows that people don't realise what they are signing up to.

That sort of article is just a scare story

Have read a couple of stories recently where recordings made by Alexa were used in court in the states by the prosecution.
So recognition doesn’t seem to matter, whole conversations were recorded, stored then accessed later once warrants were issued.
Both were murder cases so they got what they deserved, but why were their conversations being stored in the first place?
