Tut's funeral

Post by robin » Sat Nov 10, 2018 5:44 pm

Posted on behalf of Clare (I copied from the other thread in case people didn't go back to it - apologies for duplicate post)

Here's the plan to celebrate the phenomenal life of David 'Tut' Duncan.

All are welcome but if you could let us know if you plan to attend that would help us cater (comments here are fine).

Friday 16th November, 2.30pm at Moray Crematorium, Broadley by Buckie, Moray AB56 5HQ

Followed by Afternoon Tea/Drinks at Tut End (aka Heaven's Doorstep), Newmill, Keith, AB55 6UE.

Parking will be in the field so bring your wellies or park at Tesco in Keith and call a taxi, numbers below.

Neither flowers nor donations are expected but for those who have requested the details:

Flowers (preferably no wreaths) to Frank S. McLean & Son Ltd, Funeral Directors, 4 Station Road, Keith, AB55 5DR

Alternatively, donations to WWF via www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tutthelegend or collection at the service.

We also wondered if anyone might like to do a Lotus convoy behind the hearse from the funeral directors in Keith to the crematorium in Buckie? Understand designated driver and horrendous track may be limitations so no pressure.

Taxi numbers:
A2Z Taxis: 01542 780257
Dod's Cabs: 01542 887473

Thanks Robin.

Maybe want to take out the post on Legend thread and make it just a link to here?

Then any funeral logistics chat gets held in one place for people?

Happy to sort for you if you wish.

Faither G and I will attend.
Will take a Lotus if required....

Although a 4x4 may be a better bet if we are parking up in the field?

:cheers

There are some groups slowly forming for this Great Gig in the Sky.

In case of interest to anyone, I'll be leaving Linlithgow 10am approx.

At Tesco Keith for 13.30, via A9, Aviemore, etc.

If anyone wants to drive up together who's not going via Steve Fearns', let me know.

Could RV Stirling services 10.15 or Tiso's Perth 10.45 ish.

But will only call into these places if others want to join up otherwise will just see the masseev at Tesco Keith.

I should manage to meet at yours some time after 11:00. I’m in Aberdeen for a fire team course all week.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
