Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour 2019 - 28th April

Post by graeme » Mon Mar 18, 2019 9:21 am

This might be a nice day out if anyone is at a loose end. Same weekend as the SE Spring Run though...

http://blairgowrieclassiccartour.co.uk/

The run/dinner itself is fully subscribed for this year, and the sedate pace and classic focus might not suit the majority of us, but the organisers have passed on the message that if SE can get a group together they would love to have us, and would try to sort out some display parking for us somewhere in Blairgowrie.

Posted in General Chat for info, but if anyone is interested we could move it to the meets section. I''ve got contact details for the organisers if anyone is interested.

James “birthday weekend”.

He might appreciate a day out amongst some nice hardware.

But he says we are only coming if you bring the 2-11

I don't think I'll be there. There's nothing in the diary, but every other weekend around it is rammed, and I'll probably want a weekend off.

Might get a bit more organised for next year though... seems to be an annual thing.

All the more reason to get us up there with bright green, bright orange and bright yellow?

I'm assured we'd be very welcome if we put a group together, despite the classic focus. It looks like a nice day out, if a bit more relaxed than our usual sort of thing.

I'll try to sort something for next year... my dad's offered bacon rolls and coffee at his gaff in Blairgowrie, so that could be a good base for a meet up, do a wee display in Blair Toon Centre, see the pretty old cars go by, then have our own run up the glens? Something like that.

If anyone can display an interesting car in Blairgowrie, the organisers are going to arrange a visit to Morris Leslie’s car collection at a later date as a thank you. (some 650 cars and some flying things!)

If that swings it for you, let me know and I'll pass your details along.
