Just back from a 700+ mile road trip to North Wales in the Evora. Car was brilliant. Called into Anglesey Circuit for a look but it was shut! On lock-down for filming of 5th Gear.
Also stopped overnight at Conwy. There is a tv programme on Quest called Salvage Hunters I quite like so visited the guy’s shop and the main bloke, Drew, was in there at the time. He is a bit of a car nut too and has another programme on the same channel doing light restoring of old cars. Had a chinwag with him and when he asked where I had come from he said he was just up here a couple of weeks ago and bought a yellow S1 Elise just north of Edinburgh for his TV show (I’m presuming the car restoring programme rather than the antique one

).
Supposedly they are working on it right now and the programme should be shown in a few weeks. From his description of the car, can’t say I recognised it.

Maybe just as well owner isn’t on here. Sounded rather...eh...unique... with an aftermarket rear wing and multi coloured, switchable external lights

After starting this thread about 18 months ago, I see the episode with the yellow Elise bought up here is due to show on Quest on 27 January 2021.

There used to be a chav looking S1 stored in Kartstart in Kirkcaldy with big aftermarket rear wing and purple/green kind of flip paint, I think it may have belonged to Craig Lockhart that used to own Kartstart.

I watched this the other night. Don't worry if you missed it - there was little to see. Show was split roughly 40 mins on a 1300 Supersport Fiesta and 20 mins on the Elise. Only really showed them filling in some fibreglass repairs. Noticeably, unlike the Supersport, no update at the end if they sold it!
It looked like they were driving east before the bridge - maybe car was based in Tayport? To be fair to the seller, he said it had all the tat on it when he bought it, and was good to see him not succumb to the initial offer of £3k less than ask. Seller seemed to have a few appreciating cars in his stable.

Will need to watch it.
Even if not for Elise air time, interested in Fiesta Supersport.
First car I bought and owned.

I really enjoyed it. Good laugh. We have Top Gear and EVO for “proper” reviews
Didn’t help my withdrawal symptoms from S1 ownership though. Looked cracking when they were done
The end sale price of the Fiesta is ironic for being similar to brand new S1 prices. Albeit not adjusted for inflation...
