With 3 M2s replacing Lotus cars in here in the last few months has the 50k Elise jumped the shark?

No but the £30k Evora has. Image

I joined the M4 club last month as well, although it didn't replace a Lotus, it replaced my Smart car!

Lotus needs some new models soon so there is something for current owners to move to apart from reheated versions of the same cars we have been buying for 25 years or so.
The Evija later this month is a halo car but it won’t do much to help the ‘mainstream’ sales of the brand.
Lotus loss is BMWs gain

I think that's the point. Pure out and out sports cars lotus have nailed.

The issue (for me anyway) is when you try and run an evora as part of a two car family. It's doable but it's a ball ache... Esp if like me you cycle and you have kids.

Evora 410 is getting a great right up but it's not a "fun but normal car" in the way the M csrs are.

Altho, obviously, a manual m2 is the best choice.

The Renault Alpine is surely a better match for Lotus.

I have had an M2 for 2 years and 40k miles. I like it but all passengers hate it. Thinking of changing for an Alfa Quadrifoglio, nice sensible saloon
