I use Chrome on my iphone and it works fine, is the issue caused by Tapatalk perhaps?

I’ve never used tapatalk. Works ok on chrome, but when I try to login with safari it just says “the submitted form was invalid, please try again”

If you know how to forget all cookies for a site, that works - if you don't know how to do that (or if iOS Safari doesn't have that facility) then you'll need to forget your browser history (note: you'll then have to log in to all sites again). To see if this is the issue, login using a private browsing window (without forgetting any history) and see if it works - if it does, then the above is the right fix. I had to do it twice in quick succession (it worked, then stopped again), but not since.

Cheers
Robin

Similar weirdness here has been for a while. As robin says I initially thought cookies but I get the same issues in balaclava mode. Faffing with it and going to the root url as opposed to my favourites linked to new posts etc seems to work around it for now. From a techie perspective it seems similar (I don‘t think it’s this it just feels similar)to when a load balancer sends you to a server that is unaware/unable to validate your session cookie and then asked and errors on log in as the session handler thinks you are logged in already. The error I get is the submitted form is invalid or something to that effect. Sometimes I can log in browse a few pages then get that error again. I don’t know enough about the set up to trouble shoot but summat is wonky!

Welcome - but don't be surprised if for some reason you need to do it again ... that's what happened to me. I am sure it was triggered by a Safari update on the Mac, but that could be a coincidence.
