Have also received my recall notice - found this detail elsewhere on t’interweb:

“The plastic spacers fitted between the fuel rail and cylinder head may expand and contract, which can cause a reduction in the clamping force of the bolts securing the fuel rail to the cylinder head resulting in the fuel rail vibrating and loosening. If the fuel rail loosens this may result in engine failure and fuel may leak onto the engine causing a risk of fire which could result in an accident, serious injury or fatality.”

Doesn’t sound that appealing :)

Plan to contact Parks during the week to try and arrange a day /time to travel through to have the remedial “fuel rail kit” applied.

Presumably the cause of the fire in James' car?
Now with half an engine

Got my Elise recall done at Park's Honda in Aberdeen today, not sure how many Elise's are in North East Scotland but the manager said I was the second one he has done so far.

Went into Parks Hamilton with my brother when he took his Elise in for the recall. Good service and turned around quickly. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they pick up a full dealership or at least service centre as its just down the road from me.

Mini.
But took the opportunity to mooch about them all. Maserati can be a lot of metal for the money!

They dont have the space in Hamilton for it currently, but haven't heard where they intended for it to be other than suggestions it will be West Coast
