Had my recall work carried out (at last!) by Hamilton Mini last Friday - good service and setup there, given current restrictions - was in and away in about 90 mins.

Interestingly, given above discussions about Ayr, when I asked about location(s) for their new Lotus franchise, bloke I was chatting to reckoned that both sales and servicing would end up with Hamilton Maserati. :?

Guess we’ll just have to wait a bit longer for Lotus / Park’s “official” announcement for confirmation – whenever that may be!

Took about 90 mins from my door to Park's - just took it easy down A9 / M9 / M80 / M73 - set off around 06:30, so roads were quiet most of way through.

Thanks Keith!

Had a nice chat with David Stewart at Parks. Heading over on Monday. Might come home with a Maserati Image
Campbell, how did the recall go? I’m due mine so was going to call and book in after I’d checked with your experience
Went fine. No other probs introduced which is always a bonus when trying an unknown dealer!

I wouldn’t be too lenient. They have chosen to take on the franchise. They need to earn customers’ trust from the get-go. Let’s say, they’re on probation

Yeah i agree. So are they going to be Scotland’s official dealer for warranty work etc?

How long did they keep you waiting for the recall work?

My understanding is they are indeed “official” now.

Only wait was caused by COVID. Fairly slick all-in-all

Lotus setting up a couple of test drives for me at Parks when it opens later in August :D

Hopeful it will answer the Elise v Exige V6 debate played out in my head daily .... my wife is sick of hearing it :(
