Does that imply they have an Evija on display?

That is a good question Campbell.

I am going to go with a yes. New dealership , joint investment from Lotus and Parks at a time where car sales have dried up. Throwing an Evija into the mix for the opening is great way to get foot fall.

I am sure someone on this forum will be onsite soon enough ... still waiting for my invite ....

If they do, that might have the makings of a cheeky wee Scottish Elises gathering there. Perhaps one Sunday morning. With, oh, maybe a few bacon rolls and coffee thrown in...?

Good PR stunt and a great photo opp for them. If any of us still have a Lotus to take

"We are also delighted to announce that, upon opening, for a limited time we will have the honour of showcasing one of just 130 Lotus Evija’s"

Sounds promising 😀👍

They're setting up at the back of the maserati garage just up the hill from the bmw/mclaren dealerships, already have the signs up and five or six cars lined up at the very back of the lot for the past week or so.

Doubt they will be ready.

Am due a 1k oil change service before I hopefully head to France in 3 weeks.

After speaking to Laura yesterday, it looks like they won't be ready for that and I will have to go to David Hayton in Carlisle.

At least DH is en route!

Or you could pick a few other established franchises further south

That's true.. Though am going with others from Newcastle.. Can see what's en route from there if I don't get mileage up before then.

Wonder if they will enjoy being dragged into a dealership while I get an oil change?

They can drool over some nice hardware. Or enjoy a socially distanced coffee somewhere ...

Or just set off ahead of them and set an RV point.

Good luck with France BTW. 2 wks quarantine both directions?

David Hayton is no more.

I ended up going to Oakmere.
