New car suggestions

Well the BMW is about to head off to the great car park in the sky, after 8 and a bit years things are starting to go wrong and I can no longer justify fixing it.

So I am in the market for something new. I was thinking of a 3 series touring because kids. The car will be used and treated as transport ferrying the Mrs and sprogs around as well as their collective junk. Also for taking me to work and back.

To be honest the 3 series appeal because I can keep my wheels and tyres from the 1 series, scrap the car and I have a set of winter tyres and alloys.

Open to other suggestions, budget is £12k ish

Well under your budget but spotted this on Autotrader

Although I suspect any bills could easily use up the remainder of your budget.

That's older and less fuel efficient than the 130. I fear for the repair bill when something goes horribly wrong.

I know someone (me) who plans to sell their nicely specd f31 330d estate soon, it's in budget too.

Sad to hear the end of the 130i though. What's up with it?

Some nice options, I forgot to add I normally can't be bothered travelling the length of myself for a car replacement.
