Anyone that can't park near enough to the pump, requires help filling up and then manages to confuse the accelerator with the brake should be forced to take a new driving test before being let loose on the roads again

About as good as the old dear I was following yesterday who got confused at a set of roadworks we were about to join at a mini roundabout in Arbroath. She neglected to see that the opposite side of the road was completely closed but still managed to negotiate the cones designed to stop people from entering the road works and ended up face to face with a JCB and just sat there...confused.

Makes you wonder...There are some mental OAP's on the road these days <BG>

Just got in, so last in line.

Absolutey agree. Anybody over 65 should have to re-sit their test, do a medical, and be able to run a mile in 5.5 mins.

Unless they have a racing licence of course, even preferably a pilots licence as well, then they would be exempt.

I think that the best description of how a helicopters fly is magic, when they run out of magic they crash, or something....

They havent changed in 45 years they just covered up the mecano with tinplate and tape then bolted on a couple of doors...

They put me on a Unit Enquiry (Investigation) into a dropped septic tank worth £20k dropped from under a heclimacopter (sp) when I had 2 weeks left in Northern Ireland and I had to fly around in a Gazelle-thing. It was great apart from:

Looking at the ground through the gaps in the doors.

No dual controls, where they should have been there was a neat little blanking plate.

Rain, everywhere, the most distressing place being coming out of the instrument panel infront of me and hitting me in the face....

Suffice to say I'm not a happy flyer unless there is stewardess service and free drinks....
