My nearest Waitrose is sadly quite close - does that say anything about where I live ;-)

Lidl on the other hand is a few miles away. - I am running low on diving suits :-)

Looking forward to my drive to Aberdeen tonight. As a category 2 critical worker I am able to go out to work. And if that involves driving 100 miles in the Elise with the roof down to get to my hotel so be it...

I have a letter from my company to show to the police confirming my status if I get stopped.

I have been out for shopping a few times in it but not had any chance to de rust the brakes.

So last nights drive was weird. Empty roads showed how surprisingly hard it is to judge speed when you have no other cars to use as a reference. I Was trundling along merrily thinking I was doing just under 70. Turns out I was doing 55. Didn’t feel slow.

Flight was cancelled so drove back home this morning. Will be heading back up to Aberdeen again later tonight.

Lotus lockdown mileage will be approximately 320.

Anyone else manage to get lockdown miles in?
I made it to Blackness for essential sanity reasons at the weekend.

15 miles at best Image

I like the Waitrose idea, being in Dundee, my closest is 60 miles away in Stirling

Not sure I'd pull that off having never set food in a Waitrose mind.

I think I'd better put the regular cars on charge this weekend!

'98 Lotus Elise - Fun day car
'07 Fiat Panda 100HP - Daily puddle jumper
'04 Maserati Coupe GT - Manual, v8, Italian...

I was admiring your MINI today while driving past on my way to Click-and-Collect from Waitrose .... err... from Morrisons.
Not sure the Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney Pies would taste much different anyhow :D

I see his mini or Panda regularly as he parks round the corner from my house 😂

One of the few things you can rely on on these times, the "mini / panda constant" when driving west through Dundee :D

I kind of miss the spot on the way to work, been working from home since 11th and forgotten what the world looks like. However, may need to forage for food in a few weeks, Tesco deliveries have dried up.

Hope everyone is keeping well.

You can only admire it up to the back of the front doors. When you realise it's a 5 door, it looks weird, the proportions are all wrong :blackeye
Still, it's fun and the kid fits on the back.

I'm still in work, just cycling 100% as lock down has made me a fitness *
Oddly enough, I am missing my short commute - partly as I'd be cycling more, but also my short walk down Glamis Drive past all of those massive houses, to see how many are for sale this week....

*this is a lie.

I hadn't realised I had such an effect on the Dundonian ecosystem

I haven't been inside a building I don't own since 21st March. Work has been busy, so at least I have that, and we painted the outside of our house, which took a LOT of our spare time. It's so bright now that it blinds you in the sun!
