Murray T.50
Murray T.50
Most anticipated car for a long time with this reveal
https://youtu.be/DGw2NDgERgI
What’s the thoughts ?
Surely is going to be a wonderful car even with it being so hyped up.
And sounds great spec and lots of right bits - engine, seating position, weight, size, Murray’s attention to detail but to me doesn’t look stunning overall maybe just because it’s simpler and plainer in some aspects.
Not sure about area around front headlights and the large body area in front of the rear wheels both just don’t look very delicate or right to me.
Not saying I wouldn’t have one though of course

Re: Murray T.50
Fantastic. It has ,maybe not surprisingly, got a lot of design features shared with the F1 and to me it doesn’t feel as fresh as it should because of that. I’ve seen comparisons to the AM Valkarie and it suggests the T50 will be the better car to drive but I would say the AM moves super car design to the next level and looks more up to date, not that either are shrinking violets.
Let’s face it both are stunning and we should applaud that they exist in the current climate.

I was moderately disappointed. Considering the engine is so freakin cool, the body looks out of date already. And despite fan cars being a revelation all those years ago... can't say I see the point on a road car other than gimickery.
I'm sure it will reveal lots of super cool design features. But I just can't get excited by the looks.

Re: Murray T.50
Makes all the latest crop of super hyper cars with 'F1' tech and bloated battery packs seem almost boring.
The fact that the engineering design in that car is geared almost solely on the 'emotive' experience aspect of driving rather than the continual performance top-trumps / Instagram worth nonsense that seems to drive much of the modern supercar genre, is what is most appealing (bit like the F1 then).
Admittedly the looks are somewhat 7/10 - very traditionally attractive from many angles, rear is a difficult one..
And its worth a watch at some of the interview on the fan tech and you'll find its very much not a gimmick - its a form a active aero that doesn't rely on control surfaces above the car (like spoilers, wings, splitters etc.) but cleverly manages air flow around the entire car. It doesn't work like the Brabham F1 car (Murray even says this) despite giving this impression.
