Nope. Better than S2 / S3 in my experience.

But the 4 x face level vents in S3 are very good for warming hands on the wheel.

Temperature to feet is lukewarm I find. S1 was better.

2023, surely modern heated clothing is the future.

For the purposes of driving home from York I'll just layer up - might even put on the roof :blackeye

Ice cold, congratulations!! 8) :drive

Hope all well!!
Cheers Ed! A mid December drive home from York might be just that :damnfunny aren't the heaters meant to be a bit rubbish on S1s?

All good here thanks, hope all are well with you and yours!
Firstly, finally! Perhaps the longest ever search on/search off for an Elise. Hope it lives up to expectations. It's been years since I've driven an S1, but I still get pangs and know it'd be like putting on my favourite slippers if I ever get into one again. Congratu-bloody-lations :cheers

Secondly, S1 heaters are like the surface of the sun if it's working right. I had corned beef legs from mine in the winter - most effective bit of the car :damnfunny

Cheers Mr Shug - aye it's been a while :damnfunny

Was very nearly another Caterham but an S1 is more useable and time to try something new! :cheers

Stop messing about and post a pic, preferably not on a low loader.

Hello...remember me?

Well we've been a 2 car family for a while now and my car has been boring. Like Volvo boring. But had to pay for a loft conversion so needs must.

But after 7 years of our xc60 i had well and truly grown tired of it. Can't fault it as a family wagon but it's not even remotely fun.

I had tried to justify keeping it and getting a 3rd car but that dream was killed by my low overall mileage (i cycle to work or WFH) so it needed to be replaced.

i3 is brilliant for kicking about town but not suitable as a family car and i'd have to prise it from my wife's cold dead hands as she adores it.

So i needed a fun family car.

Here was my requirements;
- Sub £20k
- Fun when needed but can also take 2 kids, wife and bikes to inverness regularly
- Can fit a tow bar (ideally)
- LEZ compliant
- Reliable and newish as it sits doing f all 5 days a week and then is pressed into service for the other 2
- Needs to be subtle as it's on the street but unusual enough to make me care about it
- Manual and petrol

I bought this

19 plate focus st wagon with 50k on the clock.

it's not an evora but it's bloody brilliant. Very very happy.

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Fast wagons are where it’s at, Martin. Wish I still had one. Enjoy.

Similar (ish) setup here. Currently have an XC60, sold a Golf R Wagon and bought a Honda E for the commute. Trying to convince the other half that replacing the XC60 with a fast wagon is the way to go when the time comes
