Short term car hire

Post by craigs135s » Sun Feb 27, 2022 1:08 pm

Guys/Girls I’ve just sold my daily driver privately and the car I was going to buy has fallen through. I find myself with no car in one weeks time. I’ve started to think about short term hire until I find something I like 1/2 months. Anyone done this in the past? Don’t really want to use any of the big company’s. Has anyone got any contacts that I could speak with?

Thanks

Thrifty at Haymarket did me a good deal on something equivalent a couple of years back - got one of their cars for a few weeks on a flexible week-by-week basis. Key benefit was that you could hire without their insurance which made it much cheaper (might be able to sort insurance on your existing policies, or there are specialists that offer short-term ins.)

Depending on how much you actually use your car, have you considered this?
