Kitchen Refurb Recommendations?

Post by DDtB » Sun Jul 24, 2022 2:21 pm

Hi Folks.

Wife has decided the kitchen needs redone in the next few months so trying to find a company that can help, but most aren't even bothering to respond to enquiries it seems!

Plan is to try and reuse existing cupboards, which rules out a bunch of companies I think. Seems a shame to bin good quality units and they're all still fine, but the previous owner fitted DIY and he was an idiot so nothing is level. We're also hoping to plumb in some underfloor heating, redecorate, new worktops and stuff....

So it's a decent sized job and more than just what the typical kitchen fitter can do and trying to avoid going to one of those "we'll sell you a whole new kitchen for £1,000,000 but just sub contract to randoms to fit" companies.

Anyone have any suggestions on a company we can try that won't do a sh*t job?

Cheers!

Dave.

p.s. if anyone is thinking about getting an MX-5 this year and has a sensible/vaguely interesting petrol estate car around the same kinda value (£10-13K) they want to change for one.... gimme a shout !

We are doing the whole "new kitchen" thing in somewhere we've just bought. There's a company in Perth that was recommended to us, owned by someone on Pistonheads, who was really helpful when we were doing the planning and design stuff. They specialise in jobs where part of the plan is to reuse cupboards etc and change doors and worktops etc. https://granitetransformations.co.uk/perth/ All the reviews were good, they couldn't really have been more helpful and take care of things from start to finish.

We're going down a different route now but it might be an option.

Give JJ a shout, www.LUXEcasa.co.uk new showroom is pretty much finished now with kitchen displays

He will be able to help out, pretty sure he can manufacture doors made to fit existing units.
