Odd retailer selling a Lotus

Post by rawsco » Tue Nov 29, 2022 8:49 pm

Spotted this… https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 1111601540

Bridgend sell sheds usually, I lived just round the corner for a while and often looked at their cars when walking the dog.

Wonder if they even know what they have. Seems keenly priced for a 35k miles GT3 Special. But I’m out of touch on the market situation just now.

Starter shed detection indicators
1. Seems like it’s missing a splitter
2. Aftermarket team dynamics wheels

Been some chat on Whatsapp group already about this.

Agree it's missing it's splitter and the lovely standard silver alloys.
Shed confirmation indicator - it's my old car!

One owner previous to me and I had it from Jul 2008 to Jul 2011 when I swapped it for the 2-Eleven. Pretty sure I've done the majority of it's miles if they are correct, daily driver and multiple Frolics, 'Ring, Donkey Punch etc. You'll see lots of history on here...

A few other comments:
3. Power is 243bhp on this car with GT Pack (Power upgrade, Ohlins, Accusump and big brakes) and has the optional aircon.
4. Gearbox swapped for a replacement with standard Torsen LSD (had optional plate diff which was improperly shimmed from the factory and broke).
5. I had the Ohlin's re-valved and stiffer springs. Lower and aggressive geo - expect the wheel arch liners to be worn through...again...
6. Not sure if it still has the non standard Carbon Rear Diffuser (that I set on fire with a melted number plate at Val de Vienne)
7. 'Ring stickers are mine so hasn't had paint - maybe the front clam tho'...stripes should all be painted and note the special black
8. Soft Top Conversion I did (see in in the boot)
9. Rear wing sticker not mine. :puke
10. OMP wheel was on it when I bought it (not ideal and non-standard).
11. Gear knob and handbrake are aftermarket.
12. Head unit aftermarket replacement
13. Rear camera and parking sensors are new aftermarket (probably a good addition, rear view mirror is useless).
