Forum car at Copart?

Post by madeinwigan » Tue Nov 28, 2023 3:59 pm

I’ve just been browsing Copart and came across an S2 Elise that has a forum sticker in the rear window.

Shame to see one crashed although it doesn’t look bad.

Interesting. 60-odd K miles. Radiator will be easy to get to at least

I guess the challenge is availability of a front clam?

Plus whatever is actually wrong elsewhere. Details of the shunt would help …

If it was just reversed over by an SUV (not uncommon?) then could be a viable resto.

That’s mine. Full FSH. Last 7 years at Craigs. Needs clam, opulent lights , and crash box has a crack at front. An. Type randomly emergency braked in front of me and it’s twin central exhausts did the damage. Not a scratch on F Type.

Sorry it happened to you. Are you going to stay with a Lotus.
I’m bidding on the car, I thought it looked well cared for and I really want to get back into an Elise after selling my previous one two years ago.

Interesting about it being a Cat S, I’ll ring Copart about it.

If you get it you can have the ring binder full of receipts I have. Left the 2 stamped books in car only to be told that copart throws everything out .

Thank you for the offer. I missed the end of the auction unfortunately so someone outbid me. Hopefully it’s gone to an enthusiast.

Someone got a good car there.

Our son was interested but it’s a year or two too early
