Interior size difference between Elise and Exige

Hi,
Its only taken me 15 months to come up with a topic since I rejoined.. here goes.. I recently sold my 2020 Elise Sport 220 and I might pull the trigger on an Exige Sport 390 final edition.. one thing struck me as very odd when I took said Elise in for a service at Parks last October.. there was an Exige 380 for sale there and I had a sit in it.. I immediately noticed I had more room. How can this be? Seats were similar to those in the Elise. It felt roomier in every direction.. Thought I must have been imagining it until I climbed back into the Elise which felt cramped by comparison. Iβm 6ft 3.. 18 stone..
Has anyone else noticed this?
Cheers,
Cowan

Strange because they are identical, maybe just the feeling of having a bigger car around you?

Could it be that the seat goes back slightly further. The difference was tangible. Iβm at the limit size wise, not height, but from a general bulk perspective.
Cheers

I wonder if it has anything to do with the steering wheel.. the flat bottomed one, which eats less into the leg room may have allowed me to bring my legs closer together which would have relieved the pressure on my hips, making it feel less restrictive .. possibly answered my own question..

.. Anyway.. the Exige sale is still going ahead!

I did notice the exige was never cramped for me 6ft 3 15stone but my s1 Elise with harness bar was almost undriveable until I spaced out the OMP wheel.

I needed a spacer on the steering wheel in my s2 Elise but the v6 exige was fine. I thought maybe just down to the bulkier boss on the v6 due to the airbag. 6β2β

One click on the seat rail can make a massive difference. Sometimes you lose a click fitting a harness bar.

Thanks for chiming in, much appreciated. Concluded the purchase yesterday from Hendy Motors in Southampton, but unfortunately it has a faulty door lock it seems, so wont see it for another couple of weeks. Never mind.. Not exactly the weather to be enjoying it at the moment anyway.
Thanks again!

Cheers Campbell, indeed, we never managed to get round to it last year. Didnt help with it being a total wash out during the kids summer holidays. Give me a shout when youβre next up for it
