Just bought a house up in Houston and when going to view the house I passed a yellow S1 in the same estate, now I've noticed that the person across the back has an Azur Blue S1 aswell !
Before I bought the liz I was lucky to see one at all and now I seem to see one every couple of weeks !

Yeah,
But remember, when the elise was first launch Lotus took into account the residual value of their cars when future models are launched and incorporated a device to ensure that only drivers of a certain ability would retain the cars and to ensure that there was never a glut of second hand cars readilly available, and with in the price range, of the type of people that really shouldn't have a presitge marque sitting outside their abode. This is why when the accessory booklet for the S1 was published their were no seats by Kappa or Bear. It's also the reason why you can't buy an elise in Burberry.
Fortunatly we are getting close to the time of year when this system is activated and I am sure you will see a marked decline in the number of elises contained within housing schemes etc.
Don't ya just love oversteer

Cant help noticing the classic car mags calling the Elise and "affordable classic".
Still its better having them around. You can drive past and feel good about having one thats been driven properly. Alternativly, print off a flyer, telling them about the groups and the runs, and shove it under their wiper blade to get them involved in the scene, you never know they might be nice enough people. (some of them myy even be real enthusiasts)

working though a good malt

Don't you find that with every car though? Okay, not the mudaneo/vectra class, but for example; I got my 190E a couple of months ago. Thought to myself when I looked at it - jeez, you really don't see that many any more and it's in lovely nick.
All I see now are mint 190s. Frigging everywhere!
I'm pretty sure that if you bought a F430, within a year or so, you'd have noticed enough to think that there were too many about
It's just a recognition thing - happens with cars you've had and sold, too.

well i'll maybe see 2 other elises in a good week
people still stop and stare when you park up and kids still point at the "cool" car so it's not that common
