Hey Tut. Were you ever issued a military watch while in the forces?

I was issued one as a pilot in the Royal Marines, a nice chronometer, but I forget the make, and had to hand it back in.

I was presented with a gold International (IWC) by the Sultan in Oman, but sold it after I left as I have not worn a watch for 30 years.

They still do the same watch, but the cost now is an eye opener.

You would not want an issue watch now, despite that fact the supply system still treats them like the crown jewels they cost (Including postage to the Falklands) £7.50 and they look like the "my first action man watch" from Argos.

Apparently, Special Forces etc use the Traser

I have no idea but it's bollocks and is replaced by every crew ASAP in my experience. Only the baby crews have them cos they are free and they are (For aircrew!) poor.
