Just back from the shops and there was a "stand" advertising painballing.

Would anyone be up for this between Christmas & New Year? Or failing that between now and March.

They way the guy was talking there could be some quite good deals to be had.

Cheers

I'd be up for it.
Where was it?
The best ones are when there are large woods. I was at one just outside Edinburgh where the cover had all been trampled and the space was small which wasn't so good.

No, I'm a woos!

It's bad enough getting hit in the summer but the thought of getting hit in the freezing cold, pissing rain with an ice hard paint pellet doesn't appeal.

But, like I said, i'm a blouse!

Stephen,

They guy said that there is two in Edinburgh and three available in Glasgow. Apparently the ones in Glasgow have a beachhead and a down chopper. Can't quite remember where they were though - I think Fenwick Moor & Killin was mentioned.

Depending on how many and where from we can pick the best location from there.

I think I can get quite a good discount even for parties above 10 - so we only need another 7 brave souls (and a visit to the army/navy store for some flack jackets :-)

Mac,
Could you ask if they allow you to take your own paint.
Paint is cheap on the net but really expensive at the venue.

i bet they'd give you some guff about needing particular sorts of pellets "sorry mate we have to use our own supply or they'll jam" etc...

I used APE Paintball just outside Edinburgh, on the East Callder Rd. It was great fun, and he was cheap.

I'd be up for it too... as long as we can take our own paint ... and as long as I'm on neil & mags's team

The last one I went to was near queensferry and they threatened to ban anyone using their own paint. iirc they were charging about 10 times what you can actually buy the paint for on ebay etc.

Net result was that after a couple of games, nobody was really firing as it was getting very pricey very quickly!!!!

Good fun though! :thumbsup

Places we are looking at sell the paint at around £6 per 100 - I don't think they would let you take your own given we're getting on at a discounted rate. Might be able to negotiate a "bulk buy" in paint though.

I'd be up for it, date dependent.

I've been to the one in Alexandria a couple of times. It's great.

If it's the guys in Buchanan Galleries Mac, I think they have one in Houston (Renfrewshire), not far from the likes of myself and JJ. I've never been to that one but I've heard it's good.

I don't find the shots to the legs/arms too sore, but I do have some extra (natural) padding! They better have those gloves with the knuckle protectors though . . . shots to the hand . . . ouch!
